So, the drain plug is tightened by feel. Along with the pan is the oil pan drain plug, this gets removed and reinstalled quite frequently. There's no way to get the drain plug any tighter without destroying the oil pan.

Since i did not raise the vehicle to do the oil change, i had limited space to torque. Search car torque specifications by engine or model Along with the pan is the oil pan drain plug, this gets removed and reinstalled quite frequently.

In a situation like that, i would say the sensory feedback from the drain plug is quite high. Toyota camry solara oil pan torque specs (10 mm) :. I just tightened the plug with a 17mm wrench.

I've never torqued the drain plug on my 7.3, due to not being able to find a torque spec, even. So, the drain plug is tightened by feel. And because the threads in the oil pan are coated with oil, it has to be a wet torque spec.

The corner bolts on the oil pan will be torqued twice, as each is marked with two numbers in graphic above. Over 6,000 automotive torque specs. A larger amount of rtv silicone sealant will be required on the front and rear areas of the oil pan.
